Biography:
Cassandra "Cassie" Sandsmark debuted as Wonder Girl in Wonder Woman #105 (January 1996).
She is the daughter of Dr. Helena Sandsmark, an archaeologist, and Zeus, the King of the Gods in Greek mythology. Initially, Cassie gains her powers, including super strength, speed, and flight, from artifacts she steals from the museum where her mother works. These include the Sandals of Hermes and the Gauntlet of Atlas.
Later, she is granted her powers permanently by Zeus himself. She becomes a key member of the Teen Titans, forming close bonds with her teammates, particularly Superboy and Robin (Tim Drake).
Cassie has evolved through different iterations and storylines, but her core character remains consistent: a strong-willed, determined young woman striving to live up to the legacy of Wonder Woman while forging her own path as a hero.
